Crystal Rarity is a particularly special custom for me. I am incredibly proud of her. Her sculpting alone was a huge challenge. Her mane and tail especially made little logical sense, so it really pushed me during her sculpting stage to get her curls to not only move the way Crystal Rarity's do, but to stay there. I wanted to wait until I was more confident using my airbrush before I attempted this custom, and it definitely paid off. Rarity was painted with my airbrush, using handmade stencils and freehand airbrushing, with details hand painted. A beautiful pearlescent silver paint was mixed for her facets, and she shimmers in the light. Rarity was made from a Rarity base, sculpted in super sculpey, painted with an airbrush using high quality acrylics, and sealed with mod podge. Everything was done to make her as show accurate and beautiful as possible. As a Rarity lover myself, I take great pride in showing you this custom.
