Giant Mega Charizard X Custom Plush

Size ref:

Charizard is made from charcoal, light turquoise, white, mauve, paris pink and azure minky, with needle felted fire. His eyes were embroidered with a Brother Innovis 750D embroidery machine, Madiera Rayon embroidery thread, and Bernina V6 embroidery software. The eyes were digitised by me. His pattern was also designed by me. His tail contains poly pellets so he can stand upright on his own. He is a massive 28 inches tall. He has wire in his wings, which also have cardboard inserts to help hold their shape.

Please do not ask for the pattern, under no circumstance will I be giving it out.

What started out as a 'small project' to keep me busy between commissions grew into something far more complex quite quickly. I'd had mega Charizard x on my future projects list for awhile. He'll be a fun thing to keep me busy I said..

I couldn't help myself when patterning him. I really should have controlled myself XD. While his 28" size sounded awesome at first, it turned him into a mega sized project. He is all patterned from scratch. I wanted to prove myself outside of pony for a change. Unfortunately his massive wings and flames hide allot of details in the photos, such as his tail, head spikes and back spikes. But oh well. Those wings nearly killed me 0_0.

His flames were made using needle felting. The tail took about 5+ hrs, and the mouth flames.. gosh.. probably 12+ hrs went into them. I love the effect though. He is definitely a display only plush. His flames are not for handling.

I had so much fun photographing him alone. Big thanks to the family members that came along to help. We drove him out to a nearby rocky outcrop near a waterfall for the pics. It took 3 very uncoordinated family members (including myself) to get him onto the rocks. Seriously check out the other pictures in my fb gallery (link above), as the pics came out amazing. I wish I could have posted them all individually.

So is he for sale? That's the hard part. With his size and weight, I'm really not sure if shipping is possible (it'd be very expensive for international obviously). If someone wants to make an offer over $800 (plus shipping, unless you can pick up), I'd consider letting him go. I can easily meet up with people in the Gold Coast or Brisbane area. Sending him via courier within Australia would probably not cost too much. Or if any Australian snake breeders (jags, gtps) want to do a swap . But for now I think he'll be staying with me.
