SPECS:

Her eyes were embroidered with a Brother Innovis 750D embroidery machine, Madiera Rayon embroidery thread, and Bernina V6 embroidery software. The eyes were designed and digitised by me, and feature gradient embroidery (though it is subtle). Her pattern was also designed by me.

Her hooves contain poly pellets and she has a complete armature skeleton so she can stand VERY well on her own (she has an extremely solid stance for such a heavy plush.

She is a whopping 25 inches to the top of her head. She has flat hooves and 3d sculpted ears. She has wire in her tail and wings for support. Her horn is hollow with a plastic interior that houses 3 high power LED lights, with an on/off switch hidden under her mane, and 4 changable AA batteries (though nomatter what I did the camera would NOT pick up the led light with daylight shining on her, I will try to post pics on my fb and tumblr of the LEDs). 

Please do not ask for the pattern, under no circumstance will I be giving it out. 

EXPERIENCE: 

Oh man this plush was intense to make. I knew she'd be a tonne of work, but I didn't anticipate just how much XD. 

First off she is my first finished alicorn. Yay! I can now take commissions for luna/cadence type alicorns. With her huge size and weight I was wary that those teeeeny thin legs had the potential to wobble. So I used some (infuriating to put together because it's so strong) armature, which made stuffing through the tiny holes it left lots of fun XD.

Her shoes were made separately, with the edges embroidered in satin stitches then trimmed and sealed with a soldering iron. Then attached to her hooves. I used a gorgeous glitter spray for her shoes and regalia, but it wouldn't show up in pics (grrr). It sparkles SO magnificently in person. 

Her leds were a real first for me. I've never wired anything in my life so it was really daunting learning it from scratch. I think I just about died from happiness when I wired them up and they worked!! 

Luna was my first time working with organza. While it's gorgeous it's the devil of fabrics XD. It worked out well in the end but man I would never want to sew with it on a regular basis. 

Luna was so awesome to make. I'm SO thrilled with how she came out. I learnt a tonne and can't wait to make more princesses! I'm really going to treasure her in my collection.
