:bulletyellow: Rarity is made from white, sky and lavender minky. Her eyes and cutiemark were embroidered with a Brother Innovis 750D embroidery machine, Madiera Rayon embroidery thread, and Bernina V6 embroidery software. The eyes were designed and digitised by me. Her pattern was also designed by me. Her hooves contain poly pellets so she can stand very well on her own. She is 17 inches to the top of her head, with some wire in her mane and tail. Her mane and tail also contain quilt batting for extra volume and softness.

Rarity's mane and tail are covered in 100's of high quality diamante crystals. These crystals sparkle magnificently in the light, and are typically used on wedding gowns. Liquid sequins have also been applied to her mane and tail, giving a stunning icy blue shimmer, painted like facets of crystal. Her cutiemark has also been painted so it shimmers blue when it catches the light. No photographs or videos can truly capture how she glimmers.

Rarity's mane and tail have been extensively airbrushed using fabric paint to replicate the look of the Crystal ponies. Stencils, freehanding and other methods were used to create the effect. Her body is sublimely soft, just as if it was never airbrushed, gorgeous to the touch. I will not be discussing how I did this effect, or what paints I used etc. Please do not ask. I put many months into developing this technique and want to prolong people replicating it as long as possible.

Her earrings are made from super sculpey and painted in high quality acrylics. They hang from silver hooked earrings pierced into her ears.

I am truly proud of this pony. I have wanted to do justice to a crystal pony plush for a long time, and Rarity was the perfect candidate. Months of planning and research went into her, not to mention weeks of her actual creation itself. I used many new methods to make her, and I hope you love her just as much as I do. No amount of time or money was spared making her as beautiful as possible.

I VERY much doubt I will make crystal Rarity again, for an extremely long time at least. This is by far the most labour intensive pony I have ever made, and I don't intend to replicate her any time soon.

Please do not ask for the pattern, under no circumstance will I be giving it out.

Crystal ponies will be available for commission, but will have additional costs due to all the extra time/materials etc.

God, I remember when this first got posted and ever since then I have wanted to make a Crystal Pony plush! I've got my eye on an airbrush, since I would like one for my sculpting anyway, and this is something I also want to try. I have seen some other Crystal Pony plushies, but yours is DEFINITELY the best one out there! I do hope I get to see you make some more one day, it's very inspiring! I'm dying to see how your Crystal Princess Cadence turns out, since Cadence is my favourite pony. I know you'll do a fantastic job! :heart:

I can't believe you've only been making plushies for a couple years! I've made a few half-finished test plushies out of fleece, but I finally ordered a small bit of Minky the other day and can't wait to finish my first plush. :D I hope I can improve even half as quickly as you did! Though making my own patterns is still something I seriously struggle with. I made one and it ended up looking ridiculous and floppy, haha. XD;

Thankyou so much! I can't wait to make Cadence. It's been so long since I made a crystal pony, I think my technique will have improved allot ^_^.

Just keep at your pattern. My first pattern tests were horrible blobs of mess XD. I didn't have something I was happy with making a complete pony with till after 24 or so pattern tests XD

Of course! :hug: I'm sure she will be so beautiful when finished! :heart: Your Rainbow Power ponies are also amazing. I personally love the designs (the pre-finale versions, the manes/tails were kind of weird shapes in the actual episode) and seeing you re-create them in 3D is so wonderful! ; A ;

Haha, yeah it seems like a ton of trial and error work! That's why for now I bought a pattern from someone else to help me understand how putting them together works for a while, but there are some things I definitely want to change about their pattern. I can't wait to make my own patterns one day though, I really want to try and make a Chrysalis! I just can't entirely wrap my head around those holes in the middle of her hooves. D: Pretty sure I can figure out the mane/tail though~

This is my second year and I've had a lot of failed ones. They are sitting out in the garage. 4 to be exact. But i can see myself improving!

Good lord, your sewing and crafting talents are exquisite. She's utterly gorgeous, and that video that showed her sparkles, it's so perfect for her crystal-form. This is one of the best MLP plushes I've ever seen, excellent work <3
